I think one key to overcoming racism is cutting through the embarrassment dished out by one’s own tribal group for actually assimilating – understanding self and other.

In my view, “racism” can be a racism-promoting word if it unconsciously pulls someone into a competition or war for resources – “color-bias,” “skin-centricity,” “third eye blindness” or even “anti-fam” might be better.
