Danny Proposes (ending)

As mentioned in the draft storyline, Danny and Brigitte get married. Instead of this, the final thing seen on Earth can be of Danny proposing to Brigitte somewhere in China along the coast. During their conversation, he shows some kids something on the drums (pic 1 + video) and this makes a good impression on her.

Also, Zimmy and his sister Helen come down on a spacecraft, both with pieces of orgonite attached to their body.

Zimmy motions them to board their ship right before Danny actually proposes, even while on his knee.

Brigitte: Maybe this should wait, ha?
Danny: Well I’m keen. [looking at Zimmy]
Brigitte: But everything we can do on Bazzu, we can do here.
Danny: I thought you said Zimmy was hot.
Brigitte: He looks even better rocking that orgonite too.
Danny: You gotta live every day like it’s your first, not your last.
Brigitte: Last day on Earth perhaps.
Danny: Let’s do it.

[they both go with Zimmy and Helen onto the spacecraft]

Note: this is not such a big deal as Earth and Bazzu already have portal forests that allow inter-planetary travel. Instead the spacecraft takes them to some gigantic mountain on some faraway planet that the audience has not yet seen and Zimmy’s friends are shown BASE jumping onto it with their skis and exo-skeletons.

[the ship lands and the door opens. They have their ski gear on and are about to ski off]
Danny: Brigitte, will you marry me?
Brigitte: Of course, Danny.

[the two of them ski off to the BASE jumpers who are waiting for them further down]

Danny’s Orgonite

As mentioned Danny wore crystals. One day he discovered orgonite at a percussion store where he was playing.

Percussion steel drum

Store guy: Dude, those crystals are fire [points to his necklace]

Danny: Yep, yep. Tourmaline from Erongo in Namibia. Cheap.. [pause] but priceless [holds it up] . I have it covering my heart.

Store guy: You know about orgonite, there’s a lady across the street who makes it.

Danny: I’ve heard about it, I want to make some.

Store guy: You should [points to the piece on his table]

Danny: I’ll have to crush these babies [holds up necklace again]

Store guy: Maybe not that one. But it’ll be cool, you’ll see. There’s a bit of work involved.

Danny: What exactly does it do?

Store guy: It gives you a supernatural spirit.

Danny: I know, and who doesn’t want that? Right?

Store guy: Your ego. Haha. [Danny smiles]

Danny: Have you got one to sell?

Store: Head across the road, she’ll sort you out.

Danny: Alright cool.

Note: the relevance to this story is that Danny’s orgonite piece can be the key to how the Bazzu ship found him – it amplified his aura while skiing. Brigitte can also be carrying an orgonite piece when they meet. She made it herself, but Danny bought his.

Heart Carving – A Retrospective v1.0

As I look back on the infographics above from my essay Heart Carving – skiing for precision, power and freedom (10 Jan 2012) I realize how much of those insights and observations became background thought (as opposed to foreground observations) as the shape of my ski changed from 2012 onward – and my skill level increased.

However, the focusing on the heart (and eventually the breath) is (and was) the key to elevating the experience of skiing.

The video below refers to the skiing done that was pertinent to the infographics at top. I did begin the Heartcarving journey in 2002 in New Zealand (Mt Ruapehu) and then Snowbird in 2003!

But the full paradigm mentioned above only started to form while rollerblading prior to 2006.

Date idea: Danny and Brigitte at the skatepark v1.1

Danny is on rollerblades and Brigitte on her skateboard. They get there early before an event and have a skate-off, Brigitte clearly the better of the two [pic 1], and she’s used to the attention, yet she doesn’t skate at 100% because she is new to the park. A bunch of guys are properly eyeing her off [pic 2,4] in a lustful way, and she’s pleasantly surprised but also still timid. Interestingly, a few guys see her as the Asian girl and even feel a little intimidated by her skill and beauty.

Danny: You know, if this was your local, you’d never miss home.
Brigitte: Still undecided about it all. Pros – lots of skaters. Cons – lots of skaters.
Danny: For me, I think home is Bazzu.
Brigitte: I’m more into humans.
Danny: We’re cuter (winks at her)
Brigitte: I don’t know, I always thought Zimmy was pretty hot. [Zimmy has climbed a tree to get a better viewpoint]
Danny: You have high standards [both laugh]

[She feels some racism too as some guy pushes the edges of his eyes back slyly while rubbing his face (perhaps intentionally).]

Brigitte: I do miss home
